You may have read some news online: A major internet infrastructure provider called Cloudflare reported a bug, which exposed private data of some websites that use its services.

An article appeared this morning in Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper, echoing conversations that have already been taking place in the U.S. The plain English version of the issue goes something like this:

We like to think Wave is proof that a small business can do something big. A year ago we were only 6 people; since then we've launched an awesome accounting app, signed up nearly 60,000 small business customers in 192 countries, and grown to a team of 21.

Culture is more than a ping pong table and a beer fridge. Build a culture carefully and consistently, and great things follow.

Note: This post will be most useful for accounting professionals. Just stumbled upon a nice, concise blog post offering Facebook tips for small business. The post comes from Kelsey Brookes of Thinksync, a design firm in Australia.

We'd like to propose the following resolution: Let's stop pretending that a business with $35 million in revenue could be considered a "small business." Or that a facility employing 1,500 people could be considered "small."
