ORIGINAL POST, December 2013
In August 2012, we announced that Wave had acquired Vuru.co, an online stock analysis tool.
Subsequently the Vuru team, with their expertise in stock tracking and finances, were integrated into the Wave team, and have made strong contributions to Wave (most notably in the addition of a stock and portfolio tracking feature in Wave’s personal finance tools) while maintaining the technology at Vuru.
At this point in time, we’ve decided that with the pace of innovation and customer growth at Wave, the best use of our developers’ time is to focus all future efforts 100% on Wave. As such, we’ll be closing down Vuru effective January 31, 2014.
Though we are sorry to disappoint Vuru’s loyal users, we’re confident that we can help our customers best by continuing to innovate within the Wave platform. We have several exciting new features in development today (as always), with beta launches planned within weeks, and we look forward to sharing those with you soon.
Customers with Vuru accounts can continue to access them until January 31, after which time the service will be shut down entirely.
Thanks again for your support of Vuru. We look forward to focusing on our customers to deliver the best experience possible.
